I call this as the Kitchen Durbar. These are the daily kitchen veranda meetings, where the latest news in the village get discussed by the house maids with the house owner and neighbors. Since the same housemaid goes to multiple houses, she has the very latest news to share with the rest. A very effective platform to exchange news without facebook and twitter :-). They follow the scrum principle of face to face communication.
